CONSTRUCTION.

Coleman trailers are built to last. Whether you’re camping at your local campground, the Rocky Mountains or the Highlands of Scotland, your Coleman will not fall apart. There are many still in use in the UK which are over twenty years old. For the UK market, Coleman’s own chassis is fitted with a new axle, auto reverse brakes, 50mm hitch & new lights to conform with UK towing legislation.

ROOF. One inch thick insulated aluminium roof. Ten & twelve foot models from 1996 onward fitted with seamless ABS roof.

ROOF SUPPORT SYSTEM. Stainless steel lift arms with 1/8” stainless steel aircraft specification cable. Fitted with either manual or automatic ratchet wind-up assemblies (according to model).

BEDS. Glide out with minimal effort, & feature full perimeter aluminium frames, ‘Structurewood’ base, and permanently attached bed supports. Bunk ends are tested to 1000 pounds. (Taos/Sedona 750lb).

FLOOR. For long life, the one piece floor is constructed of specially manufactured ‘Structurewood’, and is covered with long lasting cushioned vinyl.

TENTING (US for canvas). Either Evolution 3 or Sunbrella 302 Acrylic with vinyl covered beds. This material can be touched or even lent on when wet without causing leaks. All panels have full length zipped ventilation panels with flyscreens.

ENTRANCE DOOR. Easily fitted one piece full length door & frame assembly with flyscreens.

FITTED STEP. Either drop down or slide out (according to model).

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Fitted with 240v mains with 12v converter, UK 13amp and 12v sockets. Battery charging facility from mid-1993 onwards. All models supplied with UK lights, 12n & 12s plugs. All trailers have provision for – and can be used successfully on – a 12v leisure battery.

WATER SUPPLY. 12v water pump with either outside water supply or interior tank (according to model). Hot water heaters fitted to Williamsburgs, Arcadia and some Sequoia.

COOKING. Either two or three-burner hob units with either swing-level or fold-over galley with permanently connected service pipes. Most trailers form 1993 onwards usually have some form of outdoor cooker.

DINETTE TABLE. All models feature a free standing table which can be used either inside or out.

WINDOWS. Large, opening, clear vinyl windows allow more natural light inside the trailer, and feature fine mesh screening to keep the insects out.

GAS. Calor gas bottle fitting on ‘A’ frame with either hard or soft cover (according to model).
